About the Journal

MiCSE (Maritime in Community Service and Empowerment) - Electrical Focus is a specialized, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing the intersection of electrical engineering, maritime studies, community service, and empowerment. This unique platform seeks to highlight research, projects, and initiatives that leverage electrical engineering innovations within the maritime domain to create positive societal impacts, promote community development, and empower marginalized populations. To undergo the initial review, papers must be submitted in English by editors and subsequently reviewed by a minimum of two experts. Our aim is to uphold and enhance the journal's standards of excellence, visibility, and overall development. We aspire to achieve indexing in Scopus and the Web of Science within the next year while continually improving the quality and visibility of our articles.

Submitted papers must be original and not have been presented or published previously. Submission to this journal implies that the paper is not under consideration elsewhere or in review by any other publication. We follow strict ethical guidelines and subject all articles to a comprehensive evaluation process to maintain the highest publishing standards. The MiCSE team rigorously assesses the suitability and originality of manuscripts for publication.

The scope of the MiCSE, covers:
Marine Electrical Infrastructure:
MiCSE - Electrical Focus welcomes submissions that investigate the design, development, and maintenance of electrical infrastructure and systems in marine contexts. Maritime electrical networks, port electrification, and offshore renewable energy systems are all possible topics.
Renewable Energy Integration:
Manuscripts in this category are concerned with the incorporation of renewable energy sources such as wind, solar, and tidal power into marine communities and industry. These solutions help to generate greener energy and enhance energy resilience.
Community Empowerment through Electrical Initiatives:
MiCSE - Electrical Focus is looking for papers that demonstrate how electrical engineering projects and technology benefit marine communities. Access to energy, electrified water delivery systems, and novel solutions for coastal and island populations are all possibilities.
Electrical Safety and Sustainability:
We prioritize research on electrical safety practices in maritime environments, as well as sustainable electrical solutions that reduce environmental effects and help the preservation of coastal and marine ecosystems.
Interdisciplinary Collaborations:
MiCSE promotes interdisciplinary collaborations that integrate electrical engineering skills with marine knowledge to address complex issues confronting coastal communities, such as disaster preparedness, renewable energy adoption, and digital connection.
Equity and Social Inclusion:
Submissions that address the fair allocation of electrical resources, providing access for vulnerable populations, and fostering social inclusion in marine environments are highly recognized.
