At JoMEET, we uphold the highest standards of scholarly publishing and professionalism. We believe in the importance of ethical publishing practices and the integrity of the peer-review process. Therefore, we have implemented the following policy regarding article withdrawal:
Withdrawal Requests: Article withdrawal requests will only be considered under exceptional circumstances and must be submitted in writing to the JoMEET editorial office. Authors should provide a Detailed explanation of the reasons for withdrawal.
Exceptional Circumstances: Acceptable exceptional circumstances for withdrawal include errors in the submission process, fundamental ethical concerns, or other situations deemed justifiable by the editorial board.
Withdrawal Charges: Authors who request the withdrawal of their submitted article after initial peer-review, but before publication, will be subject to withdrawal charges. These charges are intended to cover the administrative and editorial costs associated with the processing of the article.
Withdrawal before Peer-Review: Authors may withdraw their article at any time before the initiation of the peer-review process without incurring any charges.
Withdrawal after Peer-Review: If an article is withdrawn after it has undergone the peer-review process, authors will be responsible for covering the costs associated with the peer-review process up to that point. The specific withdrawal charges will be communicated to the authors upon their withdrawal request and will vary based on the extent of the peer-review process completed.
Authors are encouraged to carefully consider their submission and engage in the publication process in an ethical and responsible manner. We expect authors to adhere to our publication ethics guidelines and ensure the quality and integrity of their research.
Article withdrawal should be an exceptional and well-justified decision, and authors are advised to consult with the editorial office to explore alternative solutions before submitting a withdrawal request.
JoMEET is committed to maintaining the quality, integrity, and ethical standards of scholarly publishing. We encourage authors to engage in responsible and ethical publication practices and to carefully consider the implications of withdrawing their submitted articles. For any questions or concerns related to article withdrawal or associated charges, please contact the JoMEET editorial office.
We thank you for your understanding and commitment to ethical publishing.
